The dense hardwoods—Angélique, Maple and Wenge—will hold up to the rigors of life on the chopping block. The edges are pre-milled to provide a strong glue joint. We recommend a waterproof glue for assembly, then trim to finished size, rout a decorative edge profile if desired and sand. Finish with a food-grade product such a butcher block oil.
