GN 808.3 universal joint shafts with needle bearing do not only bridge the misaligenment of two shafts, but at the same time they offer an added length compensation, which, depending on the overall lenght l₁, enables a corresponding extension dimension l₂. The power transmission is achieved by two DIN 808 universal joints (type EW), a spline shaft and a sliding sleeve.

It is important to check the accuracy when connecting the spline shaft to the sliding sleeve, the markings -><- have to be opposite to each other. Any kind of misconnection leads to an irregular output and to a quick abrasion.
