Magnetic plugs GN 738.5 attract iron particles that float in the fluid. The stainless steel makes them suitable for use in particularly aggressive environments.

To prevent breakage and demagnetization, the round magnets are supplied with a plastic spacer and protection sleeve, which has to be removed prior to installing the plugs.

The seal is embedded in a radial recess, and thus cannot be lost or squeezed out during tightening.

The outer diameter d₁ of the threaded plugs is matched to screw-in holes for pipe fittings according to DIN 3852.
